Missing Information FlowsHi @CJG
Can you help with identifying any of the following information flows and other questions?
We need help with identification of information flows to and from the following systems
- SAS data warehouse
- Encore
- Invoice_Curr
- ATLAS
- COMIT Call
- Is there anyone I can reach out to that might be able to provide information regarding the above system?
- What is debooking? Where does the information flow from? Where does information need to go?
- Where is the information flow for split credit sales recognition?
- How to recognize new revenue? Division versus other?
Context DiagramScopeRe: Missing Information FlowsHi Stan,
We can discuss Comit Calls at our context diagramming session in the morning.
Thanks! Kathy
Re: Missing Information FlowsStan - Answers below . . .
SAS data warehouse Encore Invoice_Curr ATLAS COMIT Call Is there anyone I can reach out to that might be able to provide information regarding the above system?
SAS Data Warehouse - Brandon Kirk.
ENCORE - Susan Hill.
ATLAS - Ann Vesko
COMIT - Doreen Harold (?)
INVCURR is a dataset created nightly from the SAS Sales Mart containing invoicing information for JMP Division worldwide.
Commission application - Carol.

What is debooking? Where does the information flow from?
A debooking is a "cancelled invoice". For example, we invoice customer A for $10K. For some reason, customer A decides not to pay the invoice, a "credit memo" is issued and a transaction of negative $10K hits the books. This information flows from INVCURR.
Where does information need to go?
Commissions needs this information which flows into the Commission Application. If SF is to track "team earned credit" for Sales Teams (which is "new revenue"), the information will need to flow into SF. I believe Sales Teams currently add a new opportunity for a debooking (not sure though).
Where is the information flow for split credit sales recognition?
Split credit is recognized in the Commissions Application. Information flows from INVCURR with the full "invoiced amount". Using split spreadsheets, the Commissions Team "splits" the full "invoiced amount" to apply appropriate "earned credit" to the various teams in the "team currency" and "Individual payroll currency". For example, we have an Inside Sales Rep in United Kingdom who supports the France Team. The team currency is "EUR", the individual Inside Rep currency is "GBP". SF will show the team currency, the commission team will track both Team currency and individual currency.
The Sales Teams are required to provide this information to the Commissions Team in the "local currency". Sales Teams are also required to open "secondary opportunities" to track splits - generally inputting split information in their "team currency". Split information is internal to the JMP Division.
How to recognize new revenue?
JMP Sales Policies (following the SAS Financial Policies) dictate how to recognize revenue.
Division versus other?
I don't understand the question.
