Run Program command to open https sites in IE

I want to use the Run Program command to open an https site in Internet Explorer.

When I use this command:

Run Program(Executable("C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"), Options({"www.google.com"}))

The site will not open as JMP automatically appends http:// to the address and google is an https:// site so IE says the address is not found.

If I try Options({https://www.google.com}) then the address is appended to http://https:// and does not work.

First of all, yes I have to use IE, it is a work thing.

Second the site I'm really trying to get to is not google, but an internal https work site.

Is there anyway to make the Run Program command append https instead?

RunProgram is not the source of the extra http text (I'm pretty sure, but read to the end about quotation marks); RunProgram doesn't really study the executable name or the parameters to do anything special.  This works for me, on WIN7 and JMP11:

RunProgram(

  executable( "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" ),

  options( {"https://www.google.com"} )

);

As best I can tell, there is no re-direct.  It should produce results very similar to opening a CMD window (DOS-box) and doing this:

If I leave out the https:// and watch fast, I can see IE (11) redirect to the https.

Test your command in the CMD window, maybe the problem will be more obvious.  Make sure the values in the options list are in quotation marks.  Leaving them out gives me some odd behaviors.
