Save As in JMP Version 12 Powerpoint Interface Template?

Our Mid Atlantic sales team is wondering if when we "Save As Powerpoint" from a JMP report if there is a way to drop the report elements into a preexisting Powerpoint template rather than just the vanilla white background PP template? What we're thinking is many company's have standard report templates that they use...we have 'em at SAS. Can we drop our report straight into one of these rather than the plain vanilla template? This would save migrating the vanilla elements into the template inside PowerPoint using Reuse slides etc.

JMP uses a JMPExportTemplate.pptx theme. It is in the resources of the JMP application. On mac, what you have to do is right-click on the application and say "show package contents" -- then navigate to en.lproj and you will see a pptx folder.

Duplicate the template that is in there to something like "JMPExportTemplate(OLD).pptx" and then open it up.

Change the theme in the presentation. Save. You may have to save the file to your desktop, because this one is read-only.

Then copy it back in.

Remove the (OLD).

Hi Peter,

None that I am aware of. However, once JMP exports the PPT, PPT has a tab called themes and a person can save a company theme as a default theme. Once the PPT is exported, they can go to the theme section of PPT and apply it. However, how this is done is dependent on version of PPT they have.

Sounds like a request for JMP to use the default theme within PPT instead of the blank one.

BTW, this is already on the radar for 13 (being able to set the theme from JMP). But for now, this is how you have to do it.
