Answer 1:
It was a pleasure to meet you this week. At lunch today you expressed a desire in getting our ‘territory map’ JMP data table for the Mid Atlantic territory. I’ve attached the actual JMP data table we use in the Mid Atlantic territory to just keep a pulse on who, where, and how much? for our existing customers as well as opportunities in the current quarter’s pipeline. I haven’t updated it for 1Q2019 yet…shame on me.
Here’s the logic behind the data table. The existing customer base license volume is a count drawn from GIDB using the New Annual License Add In which it sounds like you already have? I typically only update the existing map once/year since that’s sufficient for our territory management purposes. The opportunity map ‘how much’ isn’t license count, but estimated value in $$$$. I typically just take a snapshot of all pipeline phases at the beginning of a quarter to get that quantity from Salesforce. I use Salesforce to determine the location. Counties is close enough for our purposes. There are three embedded scripts…one to draw the existing map, the other the opportunity map. It’s obvious which is which. Then a third to publish them both to a dashboard. Only thing you’d need to do is add your customer names, counties, and counts/$$$$ and you’re good to go.
Feel free to snatch and improve for your territory.
