Discovery Summit paper search add-in for reference selling

This add-in contains an index of the presentations from all the Discovery Summit. You can quickly search and create a shareable Journal, complete with customer references and links to the materials.

This is great for reference selling. You can point out big-name customers who have presented on strategic topics at Discovery Summit.

This is meant for internal use only; although it can be used in front of clients/prospects, it is not meant to be distributed to clients/prospects.

@brady_brady created this. Send all kudos, compliments and suggestions his way.

Fast search of the Discovery Summit presentation archives. Quickly share relevant materials and links to reference customers who have presented at Discovery Summit.

Thanks Brady !

Re: Discovery Summit paper search add-in for reference selling

Hi Mark,

My initial perspective is that we won't want to do this, due to privacy and liability concerns. I know that we provide customers info that we obtain from this very addin, but that isn't the same as making all of the data available to customers. A bit like the student directory at my daughter's school: I can search on their website for a name and obtain address-book info for any student, but cannot simply download the entire student directory.

If the general consensus is that this is something we SHOULD provide, I won't be the roadblock, but I would at minimum want to obtain buy-in from:

@Jeff_Perkinson

@Diana_Levey

Jon Weisz

John Sall

Cheers,

Brady

Re: Discovery Summit paper search add-in for reference selling

I've had a customer request access to this add-in.  Would it be possible to have a customer facing version of it?

Re: Discovery Summit paper search add-in for reference selling

Hi @brady_brady

It looks like the Add-in is now updated to include the 2019 Discovery conferences. I reinstalled today and it is working. Probably very late to the game in realizing this, but posting in case anyone else missed it.

Thank you!

Tim

Hi Jeff--

I will try to get this done before kickoff.

Cheers,

Brady

Re: Discovery Summit paper search add-in for reference selling

@brady_brady, any chance you can update this tool with the 2019 Tucson and Tokyo content?

Re: Discovery Summit paper search add-in for reference selling

This is excellent, Thank You Brady!

Re: Discovery Summit paper search add-in for reference selling

@brady_brady and @Jeff_Perkinson Any plans to update this? It is a great tool for finding previous presentations. Otherwise, they are difficult to track down.

Re: Discovery Summit paper search add-in for reference selling

Hi @andreacoombs, You can also try a keyword search of the Reference Index in Confluence: Welcome to the JMP Customer Reference Index - Customer Alliance - Confluence (atlassian.net)

We haven't added papers from 2024 Discovery Summit Europe just yet, but everything else in English (and with at least one non-staff presenter) from the past ~3 years should be there.

@Meg_Hermes Thanks!
