I am helping a customer who is trying to figure out how to do MSA in JMP.
For the moment, he has results in an EXCEL Sheet. He likes a lot JMP as he will be able to do several grouping and even Crossing these grouping variables.
But for the moment, he doesn't able to reproduce the same result with a basic example.
he has 10parts, 3 repetitions, for 3 instruments.
You will find the data in attachment.
the main difference is in PV computation.
Do you have any suggestion or idea why it is different?

Hi Florence,
I suspect it mighty be due to the differences in calculation approach. It appears that the spreadsheet is using average and range method to estimate the various standard deviations. This approach is from the pre-computing era to simplify and speed variance calculations when done by hand, but it is not the best or preferred method today.
