Scott’s notes: live! Korean Explorer’s guide attendee – Intel – statistical analytic deployment (data science group) – would like more support for JMP things – does he know Teri’s group? Big advocate. Few hundred users. Automation. (Stephanie Garb’s group – does he know about this)?

Defects and Technical Support
[Note: Laura still needs to enter these into defects, etc.]
- Bank of America – had issues trying to understand how the custom regex works – documentation wasn’t sufficient to get started from ground zero - need example of using custom regex – video?
- Micron – JMP Add-in manager – Laura’s notes… low priority but interesting idea.
- Micron IMFT – Want multiple Xs in JMP Pro 14 Functional Data Explorer and example of using this for spatial data
- Seagate – Oracle time-out and JMP ODBC – current tech support track and gathering info from user Heidi Hardner
- Seagate – Tuning table for bootstrap forest – user was not able to create this from the documentation although they had the right idea (fast flexible filling design) – success with Chris Rea with my version. Need to add to sample library or file exchange.
- Seagate - I was trying to extract a specific Quantile (95%) from the fit Y by X platform, what I could find on the forum was to edit tabulate platform but I would like that baked into the Y/X platform.
- Seagate Validation not respecting hidden rows
- [SAS 7612390123] During JMP Pro trial the built in validation proportion in boosted trees fail because too many excluded rows were picked to be part of the validation set
- Seagate question about orthogonality in tree methods – Laura will post on community
- Whirlpool JMP Pro (on Pro 12) – add these - Step-wise regression – said there are no examples – frustrating from a user standpoint
- Loves Neural Net capability but said Help Menu is lacking (not a lot of good examples – mentioned hidden layers).
Community Activity
- Seagate – only 56 people registered for community (Christy and Jeff)
- Customers submitting Discovery papers (WL Gore, possible P&G)
Education
- No upcoming onsite training noted in March 2, 2018 Education newsletter
JMP 14 Rollout Schedule
- Bank of America- 18.18 Currently JMP 13.1. Not going to roll out x.0. x.1 is about 2 months to package and roll out. About 6 month schedule to do x.2

- Lilly - JMP 14.1 roll out early fall
- Seagate – sudden availability (no enforcement to upgrade currently) – test drive mode currently. Typically roll out x.1 version.
