D01 Afghanistan Map with GIS
- JMP reads both shapefiles of form *.shp and associated database files of form *.dbf
- Files can be found on the web – Search on "ESRI," "Country Name" and "Shapefiles"
- *.shp files are saved as *-XY.jmp and *.dbf files are saved as *-Name.jmp after a few manipulations
- These two JMP files are placed in the "Maps" folder along your computer’s particular path – for mine it is: C:\Program Files\SAS\JMP\9\Maps
- Graph Builder uses these two files to draw the polygon map and to associate data with a polygon shape, i.e. country, province, state, etc.
