Thanks for using the Great Demo format for your Mastering and Advanced Mastering JMP presentations. This helps people remember how they can use JMP by giving them a story with a happy ending that, we hope, is simple and compelling enough for them to remember.
I have attached one sample (from Olivia Lippincott ollipp) of the many good PPT's you folks created in 2015.
Attached is a very simple sample of the PPT format that uses the Great Demo format to present the answer (using a JMP screen shot) to a problem for which we can use JMP. The purpose is to highlight the problem for which JMP gives you great tools. It is ok to name the tools, but in the context of what they contribute to solving the problems.
She began the webcast by saying she was going to cover three different ways you can use maps to help make sense of the data. Slides 2-4 are the ‘end state’ of her analyses. As she shows slides 2-4, she says that:
- (when showing Slide 2) In her first case study, she will add map shapes to present and label data about CA farmer’s markets by county, so analysts learn and visualize which counties had the highest number of markets.
- (when showing Slide 3) In her second case study, she will show how to use latitude and longitude to add background maps and build heat maps that help people see that Manhattan has many reported blocked driveways in a.m. and few in p.m., whereas Staten Island has few in a.m. and many in p.m. AND that Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn have same problems in same locations during both a.m. and p.m. rush hours.
- (when showing slide 4) In her third case study, she will show how to use public shape files to add to JMP reports to locate and color code unemployment rate by different wards, examine and compare street names and neighborhoods, and contrast lowest unemployment near US Capital with highest unemployment in East Washington, DC and near Capital.
She took questions after each case. After answering the questions, she went onto the next example, showing the end state of the analysis (the original slides 2-4) again. This gave us 3 videos. First is the introduction and farmer’s market case study. Second is the blocked driveways case study. Third is the US Capital case study.
