academic icons 06.pdfHere are initial drafts of icons from Aaron for our new academic page. They would be used in place of the screenshots currently displaying under Resources for Teaching and Learning JMP. Aaron has made one adjustment in the current version.
Here's what Aaron says in his e-mail:
"Attached is a PDF file showing the current status of the icons for the top-level page. The Case Studies icon (lower left) still needs a bit of work. I also haven’t decided exactly how I’m going to use these. I might knock each out of a colored circle or maybe use our rectangular template. Not sure. Either way, I thought it might be good show these now. Do you have any issues with them?"

Thoughts, comments, suggestions? This is the last thing we need to do before we push this site live.

Re: academic icons 06.pdf<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />I believe the layout corresponds to the topics show in the screen capture - so, the two in the top row are for Getting Started Videos and Interactive Learning Tools.
Re: academic icons 06.pdfdo you have a key that corresponds to each of the icons?
Re: academic icons 06.pdfThanks Volker! I'll compile all of our ideas/feedback and pass on to Aaron and Jonathan.
Re: academic icons 06.pdfI like the idea of using icons.
My comments:
Getting started > indicate video format? film role??
Learning Lib > use the case study icon instead (showing single pages)? To me the hat looks more like exam or diploma.
Case Study Lib > real-world problems - show a globe?
AP Stats > the apple & book does not help me, but no better idea...
