Can I Create Server Environment in my Laptop?Dear All,
First of all, Happy New Year to all of you.
Sometimes our customers want to see the demo using Query Builder or Data Connection.
So, how can I create the environment of SQL server or database server using my laptop?
Any comments opinions and advices will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Can I Create Server Environment in my Laptop? Thanks Phil,
It would be helpful. I will try to make my own environment of SQLite database.
Thanks again.

Re: Can I Create Server Environment in my Laptop?@Eric_Hill created these instructions four years ago. They describe an older version of SQL Server Express which is now up to SQL Server 2017 Epress Edition.
Perhaps someone can update his instructions for this more recent version.
Re: Can I Create Server Environment in my Laptop? When I first started, there was a set of instructions for setting up a MS Server on our laptops. There was also an archive of databases floating around. Those are what I used for the longest time. (Hopefully someone will post the instructions - I think they were in an email thread and never made it to community.)
Lately, I’ve been using the “DB browser for SQLite” tool to create new DB’s. That lets you create more realistic schema and import csv or other database archives.

Hi DaeYun,
I found the above thread useful. I have created my own SQLite databases for demos using the online conversion tool that @Daniel_Valente mentioned.
For example, I created a simple QC/LIMS database with 3 tables including the dissolution results from the Tablet demo. I show how easily you can build the query for this database to get the dissolution results.
I have experienced a few problems with the SQLite conversion, as detailed in the above thread. I also remember having some problems connecting using the ODBC driver - I think that connecting to databases with long filenames and paths did not work.
I hope this helps.
