Any one heard of KDB+ database

Question

Hello,

I had a customer inquire about KDB+ database. I have not heard of this database until  this call.

Anyone have experince using  this database with JMP?  Or run across it during JMP discussions?

There is a company that provides an ODBC interface. But I am not sure because there is an ODBC interface we can assume JMP will work? Or will it?

Any information or thoughts welcome.

As with all ODBC drivers, assuming that the driver and the database are implemented well, with ODBC version 3.5 compliancy it should work. I’ve not heard of kdb+ before, but a Google search reveals that it comes from Kx Systems and they do have an ODBC driver. I can’t find any reference to what version of the ODBC specification their driver is, so the user should be encouraged to contact Kx Systems to find out.
