Attached is a draft plan for JMP Days for ExxonMobil.
Michel Jansse is coordinating a schedule of JMP Days for ExxonMobil around the world. He has a good view of the goal for JMP Days as inspiring and energizing JMP users.
We have planned two different agendas depending on whether the site has been through an online introduction to JMP. Version 1 is for sites where the users have not done that and Version 2 is for sites that have already had an introduction.
Version 1 (this one needs to be updated to add a 20 minute introduction to the day at the beginning):
- Topic time duration ranges from 30 minutes to 50 minutes depending on topic.
- This is a lot of information for new/beginner JMP users. The goal is to have people leave the event excited and energized about JMP, not frustrated and overwhelmed. Instead of presenting “Using Text Explorer to Extend Analysis”, we replaced with “Survey of JMP Platforms” and text explorer is included in this topic.

Preparing Your Data for Analysis In any analysis problem, most of your time is spent preparing the data for analysis. JMP makes this process easy with powerful data manipulation capabilities. See how to rearrange data to meet any analysis challenge. Topics may include importing data from Excel, Query Builder, Recode, Selecting Matching Cells, Name Selection in Column, Value Labels, Compression of Selected Columns, Stack/Split and Join.

Exploring Data with Dynamic Graphics JMP is the perfect tool for exploring data. Whether you are searching for relationships, patterns or outliers, learn how to look at your data to gain critical insights. This topic walks through a case study showing the basics of analysis using JMP. It covers dynamic linking, visual analytics, Fit Model and the Profiler.

Using JMP Graph Builder Effectively JMP produces specialized graphs and plots with supporting tables, statistics and maps. The drag-and-drop interface is intuitive, lets you get started quickly and gives you a ribbon of options to use to select alternate graph types. Advanced features allow you to control format and appearance to create persuasive visualizations. See several case studies that demonstrate different techniques to create compelling graphs that uncover relationships in your data and identify areas for further analysis. This topic covers using obvious and hidden graph zones; building uncommon graph types; and fine-tuning axes, colors, gradients and legends.

Version 2:
- Topic time duration ranges from 30 minutes to 50 minutes depending on topic.
- This agenda does not include “Getting Started With JMP”. Attendees would do eLearning for this topic.
- For most JMP Days, the presenters incorporate “Maximizing Productivity in JMP” throughout each presentation rather than have as its own topic. Attendees find this helpful since the tips and tricks are relevant to a specific topic.
