We have a JMP Pro prospect that is asking if JMP Pro can connect to and import data from a web server based JDBC compliant data base. Any insights?
Hi Peter,
Sorry for the delayed response but I was on business travel to Europe last week.
I have not tested this but In theory the customer should be able to connect using a JDBC-ODBC Bridge. The same rules would apply regarding bitness. 32 bit JMP would require 32 bit JDBC-ODBC bridge and 64bit JMP would require 64 bit JDBC-ODBC bridge.

Indeed, Stan is correct. You'll need an ODBC to JDBC bridge.
EricHill and I had some success with this Single-Tier ODBC-to-JDBC Bridge Driver from Openlink. It wasn't entirely straightforward but the customer did get it to work.

Hey - just FYI - if you end up going the OpenLink bridge route, there will be two choices of driver, one marked "Unicode" and one not. For JMP, make sure to choose the Unicode one.
