PRESS RMSE/Statistic in Fit Model

We have a customer that asked the question below. I only know of the PRESS statistic in PLS.

Do you know if there is any way to include the
PRESS statistic in the Stepwise platform when fitting a linear regression
model?

I am analyzing a Definitive Screening Design and would
like to include the PRESS and/or PRESS RMSE in along with the AICc and BIC
criterion.  Right now,  when fitting "All Possible Models"
I have to narrow it down first by AICc or BIC and then go back and fit every
model to get the PRESS and/or PRESS RMSE.

You can also get the PRESS statistics in Least Squares, but I don't know of a way to get it in Stepwise. The fastest way I can think of to get from the Stepwise report to the PRESS statistic would be to turn on the Press preference in the Fit Least Squares platform preferences. Then, in the Stepwise report, select the radio button for a model, click Make Model, and then click Run. Definitely not all that stream-lined.

FWIW, there is open request in DEFECTS for adding the PRESS statistic to the Stepwise report: S0853377.
